Music
As well as usual classroom lessons, there are numerous orchestras, choirs, classical and contemporary ensembles that students are able to join and lead. These are warmly supported by the Tiffin Girls’ Music Society (TGMS).
TGMS is a charity which was set up by parents with the aim of supporting the quality and breadth of music provision within school. Please click on the link below to be redirected to the TGMS web page.
The department also organises a programme of trips and events that make the most of what the professional music scene has to offer. Concert visits include the Royal Festival Hall, Covent Garden and G-Live in Guildford. Whilst many of our concerts take place in school, we host a Carol Service at All Saints’ Kingston each Christmas and are taking a choir tour to Malta in summer 2023.
In addition, some of our groups are student-led; these include a cappella groups, String Quartet and Guitar Ensemble, plus a wide range of rock bands and ukulele ensembles.
